PPD Invitation : Perkhemahan PBB Peringkat Negeri Selangor

2nd to 5th March 2014 : MRC Petaling Chapter has been invited by Pejabat Pelajaran Daerah Petaling Utama to sent a few members and officer in Perkhemahan Pasukan Badan Beruniform(PBB) Peringkat Negeri Selangor. MRC Petaling Chapter members are standby as first aider full time and first aid competition judge during the camp were held.

MRC - SIMEX 13

20th to 24th September 2013 : MRC National Headquarters in collaboration with the National Security Council (NSC) has organized a Latihamal Simulasi Dwi Bencana BSMM 2013 (MRC - SIMEX 13) were held at Pusat Sains Marin UPM, Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan and was attended by representatives of all branches nationwide. Representing MRC Petaling Chapter is Mr. Muhd Shamir Bin Abd Aziz and Mr. Abdul Halim Bin Elias.

Alpha Operation for Bersih 3.0

Date : 28^TH April 2012

Time : 7.00a.m - 5.30p.m

Venue : IPK BSMM, Jalan Nipah off Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur.

On the 28^th April 2012, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur Branches volunteers was standby for helping distributing water and providing medical assistance to those in need during BERSIH 3.0. The Operation was named Alpha Operation.

The briefing was given at 9.00a.m for all volunteers. All the volunteers standby at IPK BSMM Jalan Nipah. First assessment was conducted at 10 a.m. Alpha operation was deployed at 3.45 p.m.

The operation was ended at 5.30 p.m. None of volunteers were injured during the operation.

Ex-Charlie 2011(Robbery On The Train) : Major ERP Simulation

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 12 (Bernama) - A three hour training/simulation in Emergency Response Plan (ERP) was fixed at the Asia Jaya RapidKL LRT. VADs from various chapters were tested in terms of their level of awareness. Efficiency of the Syarikat Prasarana Negara Berhad (PRASARANA) staffs in facing any eventualities was among the issues focused.


RapidKL Kelana Jaya Line chief operating officer, Ahmad Nizam Mohamad Amin displayed that last night's training was part of the ERP exercise carried out from time to time to ensure the staffs and other authorities involved were ready for any emergency or disasters

"The purpose of this training is to test the ERP manual and assess the level of awareness and efficiency of the RapidKL staff and the affected emergency rescue agencies in handling crisis situations. All weaknesses from this simulation exercise will be evaluated and improved to strengthen the existing RapidKL ERP," Ahmad Nizam Mohamad Amin told reporters after the training.

The simulation involved three ‘robbers’, each armed with a revolver, a short knife and a bottle of acid, followed their victim who boarded the LRT at its Asia Jaya station to Taman Jaya. In the LRT, the ‘robbers’ men ordered the ‘victims’ to surrender their belongings, like bags, jewellery and cell phones.

A scuffle broke out where a few passengers were injured from acid splash. An elderly passenger also suffered a heart attack in the incident.

Also involved were the Police, the Fire and Rescue Department, the University Malaya Medical Centre, and the Malaysian Red Crescent Society.
